Just to make sure everybody knows how to keep tabs on Montreal Burning Man happenings...
THE ONE TRUE PRIMARY ORGAN:
Our *official* organ of discussion and announcement is the "Brûleurs de Montréal Burners" mailing list. All the really important action happens here, including announcements of our monthly café meetings. If you're not subscribed to the "Brûleurs" list, you could be missing out on all the fun, sex, and excitement of being an active member of the Montreal Burning Man scene. Sign up here:
disc.bruleurs.net/mailman/l...o/bruleurs
VARIOUS SECONDARY, UNOFFICIAL, OR PROSTHETIC ORGANS:
We have a bilingual wiki (often hosed by spammers, unfortunately):
bruleurs.net/Main/HomePage
The "montreal-announce" mailing list (found via the BurningMan.com website) is almost never used. Ignore it.
The "Brûleurs de Montreal Burners" Facebook Group is useful for getting the word out to Facebook users. Whenever we hold a meeting or other event, we send out invitations to all members of this group:
www.facebook.com/group.php
There's also Matt Bouchard's "Burning Man 2008 - Montreal Region" Facebook Group. Probably a good place to make plans for BM'08:
www.facebook.com/group.php
Tribe.net is a cool social networking site adopted by a gajillion Burners around the globe, and it's rife with Burner discussion boards. The "Brûleurs de Montreal Burners" tribe is good for making connections both locally and internationally:
montrealburners.tribe.net
Flickr users! There's a "Brûleurs de Montreal Burners" Flickr Group! If you have photos of a Brûleurs event, or of Montrealers being Burnerish (so long as they aren't doing anything *too* naughy or actionable -- always ask before you shoot!), add 'em here:
www.flickr.com/groups/bruleurs/
You can also post photos on the wiki (above).
I've just created the "burningmontreal" community on LiveJournal for all us LJ-geeks. Join up here:
community.livejournal.com/burni...treal/
Now you know where to find the phun!
See you at our next meeting -- or out on the playa,
Science

[The above message will be posted at irregular intervals to all Montreal Burning Man forums. Sorry for the repetition. Remember, signal redundancy is good!]
